About this Episode

This episode is a great chat with Melissa Paris. Melissa is a self-proclaimed street squid who snuck her way into racing and is currently the lead technician for the Altus Motorsports team which races a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 in the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 series with rider Cameron Petersen on-board. We start off talking about the team’s very successful weekend at PittRace, where rider Cam won both Stock 1000 races. We also talk about how Melissa got into motorcycles in college and made the progression from street rider, to track rider, to club racer, and then to mechanic, professional racer, and team owner. And we discuss relationships and motorcycles, including a little bit about her son Hawk and her husband Josh Hayes and how banging handlebars with your spouse on the track can be very therapeutic and great marriage counselling!
