This episode features an interview with professional motorcycle road racer Braeden Ortt who races a Kawasaki ZX-6R in the Supersport class of the MotoAmerica racing series. The 19 year old racer will be entering his sophomore year of college in the Fall and continuing his major in Chemistry, with future plans to be a plastic surgeon. In the meantime he is racing in two motorcycle racing series as well as enjoying other outdoor sports like snowboarding, wake surfing and jet skiing. Braeden and I talk about motorcycle racing in general, and in particular some of the challenges of the Corkscrew at the Laguna Seca Raceway, including his recent crash there during Sunday qualifying. Braeden survived the crash relatively unscathed and walked away with minor injuries. He expects to be able to race in the next MotoAmerica round, August 10-11 in Sonoma, CA.
